but be aware that frame models are constantly changing and often difficult to source quickly from lil ol’ New Zealand – hence we cannot guarantee the availability of all the styles depicted here - they are merely representative of the general feel of our frame collection. But rest assured – by visiting us “in the flesh” you will find much more than the little snippet we’ve tantalized you with so far.

Roger Henley 70s Eyewear

Blondes have more fun

This leopard skin creation is by Roger Henley, an Australian eyewear designer. The look is perfectly Rod Stewart (from the '70s "Blondes Have More Fun" era.)
This frame would look great with those thigh-length white boots and teased-up hairdo! On the other hand, the shape is somewhat subdued so the frame could be dressed up or down depending on your age and inclination, widening it's appeal to include more than the just those old punk rockers amongst us!

Eyewear Designer Jason Kirk

Handmade frames with real zing

Wow! These frames are from an English eyewear designer, Jason Kirk, a man who takes pride in hand-making his frames with the use of bright colours, asymmetric patterns and interesting textures. Again we have a subdued shape but the blue sparkle adds a real zing to the appearance of this frame - especially with
some blue eyes shining back at you through the lenses.

Francis Klein frames resminiscent of Audrey Hepburn

Jewellery for your eyes

These are Francis Klein frames, a French boutique eyewear designer who is besotted with the eyewear of yesteryear when all was glam, sparkly and feminine. We love their style, we love their courage and we love their ingenuity. This black sparkly number will go perfectly with your beehive hairdo and little black dress. Reminiscent of the Audrey Hepburn days, this
style says classic yet daring.

  Roger Henley frame goody gumdrops

Totally Lickable frames

This green spotty number is a Roger Henley frame. Spots, stripes, flowers, animal print, you name it, if it's bright and different, he has a penchant for it. This example is rather special because of the mint flavour to the green - similar to Goody-Gumdrops ice-cream - and almost as lickable!

LA Eyeworks 1950s eyewear

A sharp little 1950s frame

"L.A. Eyeworks" is - you guessed it - an American company set up by two creative women who wanted something more exciting from their eyewear. They have designed specs that will make people look even more interesting when they put their glasses on! This snappy little red frame suits both men and women, and is based on a classic 1950s eyewear shape with the bright colour giving a modern twist.

JFK look frames

Catch me if you can

We call this the "JFK Look" frame - reminiscent of American presidents from the 1940s through to the 1960s, this simple yet interesting frame adds an aura
of mystique and intelligence to the wearer. Remember Tom Hanks in "Catch Me If You Can" ? Now that's what we call character...

Tortoise shell frames

New York hutzpah

Tortoiseshell frames; it's always going to be a rich, natural tone that suits red-heads in particular, but anyone else who wants to add character and dignity to their demeanour- think authors, libraries and old leather. This example is a modern re-hash of the original idea and suits both men and women with an eye for warm tones and New York hutzpah.

Theo of Belgium rectangle frames

Thunderbirds love Theo

This is a frame from "Theo" of Belgium; black rectangle frames have been around for a while now but Theo has given this one a little splash of red across the top and a slightly thicker yet still restrained outline, giving it a just that much more flair. The use of premium materials also gives this frame a nice feel when you handle it - giving credence to the saying "Feeee-e-el the quality!" Nothing like a nice product to give you that feeling of pampering yourself.

Austin Powers Geek Glasses

Oh behave!

This modern variation of the Austin Powers geek glasses has been hauled back towards the sensible, yet still retains enough personality to tempt those who want interesting specs. Businessmen, tech workers, artisans... the frame is broad enough in its appeal to encompass a wide range of tastes.
